We've been in Italy for two weeks, and our lunch today is definitely in our top 3 meals. Beautiful restaurant with inside and outside seating. Excellent service. We can highly recommend the pork shank (huge), the soup with ravioli, the mixed salad (with ingredients from their garden), and the apple cake with ice cream. The chef really knows their flavors - the sides to the shank were perfect (veggies, croquettes, and fried polenta). If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a detour. Yum!!!
A lovely traditional place with high class local food.
Better make a reservation.
Delicious local cuisine. Lots of gluten-free options, including desserts. We highly recommend this place!!!
We have returned, yet again! This time we had dinner and it was spectacular. Make sure you eat the venison medallions and the stinco. Absolutely fantastic. Plus, the owners are delightful!
Very good restaurant specializing in classic Ladin dishes. The ambiance was very nice and the staff very friendly and professional.
The deer tartar was exceptional. Also the fondue and the pork filet cooked in hay were very good.
We enjoyed the experience.
Overrated (tagliatelle wildragu good, hirschtartar disappointing, no spices, no taste, only the right texture, hay pork and Hirsch medallion very nice but small portions for the price and unsuitable garnish - nothing in common with michelin stars). The best wine on the list was out of stock, the rest (4 tasted) ordinary local wines, nothing special. One more positive aspect, we got a table without reservation and the staff was very very nice to us (family with 2 kids). Desserts, none (of 3) extraordinary but nicely done and served. All in all didn't make us to come again (by the way, very nice and cosy traditional interior).
Amazing service and delicious food - great experience - highly recommend!
Very disappointed with food and especially cold unfriendly approach.
Whilst we were taking our coats off our 4-year-old daughter went to what she thought was our table and to get to her seat had to climb around the bench - it was a table with a fixed bench. In so doing she stepped on a cushion or two. The owner rushed to physically stop her as if she was destroying her table, and continued to huff and puff and complain about what our daughter did and despite our apologies for the “terrible actions” of our daughter. I have visited the Dolomites for 40 years, the local people are lovely and family-oriented, hence our shock at this absurd reaction. For goodness sake she is 4.
As for the food, very average. Many better options in San Vigilio.
Unique. You can't go more local. All dish names are in the local language Ladino and they explain every details of the menu. Staff was extraordinary. On top the food was just amazing! Great selection of local wines. So worth it!
